We hosted my wife's 40th Birthday Party at this amazing venue last week. The owners Emil and Julia went above and beyond to accommodate our every need and want. The food was cooked to perfection. Appetizers and salads were delicious and in large quantities. Some of our favorites were Khachapuri Squares with cheese, Smoked Duck Breast Served on potato latkes and crepes with mushrooms, to name a few. We barely had any room for main dishes (Charcoal Chicken Kababs and Beef steak). The service and professionalism of the staff was outstanding. Our server was attentive and accommodating throughout the whole night. We can't thank you enough for such a memorable and fun night. We highly recommend this venue for any special events you may have planned. THANK YOU!
We were scheduled to have our wedding here in December. When we found out that we would be unable to host a 100 guest wedding, we asked Emil if we could postpone our event to 2021. We were told that he would be willing to move only half of 2000$ deposit forward and that we will have to pay an additional 1000$ for a new date. Furthermore, we would still be expected to host the event in the case that further capacity restrictions would be introduced. We told Emil that we would prefer to continue with our scheduled date, but at a 50 person capacity, as per current restrictions. We were then told that we would get no value for our initial 2000$ deposit and that we would still be responsible to pay 110$ per person. We were told that this is their way of attempting to accommodate us. In no circumstance would we be allowed to use our initial deposit. I urge couples to keep their deposits during this uncertain time unless you are planning an event in the very near future and/or are comfortable with the event falling through and losing your initial deposit. Based on recent reviews, this place appears to still be a great place to have an event, however I would not be comfortable with trusting the owners with my deposit.
All I can say is WOW! When I first booked with The Avenue Banquet Hall, it was still owned by Marla Kay. If anyone doesn't know who Marla Kay is, she is the pit bull you want by your side when planning a wedding. One day, I got an email sent out by the new owners; Julia and Emil. They took the time to reach out and let all booked events know about the change in ownership. As a bride planning her wedding I was concerned, so I emailed them back. There response was almost immediate. Julia answered all my questions and eased my concerns. Then COVID hit, they stayed in touch the entire time. Sent out email updates and were still very prompt in answering questions. They were so understanding and even held two dates for us, our original this year and a back up for next year. They took time out of their day to meet with us and helped us talk through the pros and cons of still having our wedding this year or next. We finally decided to go ahead with our wedding, one month prior. It was crunch time! Julia and Emil pulled our day together beautifully, from the decor to setting up our centerpieces, projecting mapping and other diy decor pieces we had. I wish I had photos to share, everything was stunning. And I wasn't bothered for a single thing, it was all taken care of for me. The only thing I was worried about was the food. Due to COVID we didn't get to have a tasting; they weren't hosting events regularly enough to have some of everything in stock. Turns out I had nothing, and I repeat NOTHING to worry about. The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone raved about the food. Including a cousin who is a chef himself. There was a ton of food but it was so delicious! We got quality and quantity, all at a reasonable price per person. I hope to have many other events hosted here. Thank you again for all that you both have done for us!!

When I had to host a small event myself recently, The Avenue was my first choice. The new owners were very patient and attentive to my requests, answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns, overall were just a pleasure to deal with. My party was absolutely fantastic, food, atmosphere, décor, everything was perfect and I couldn't have asked for more. I loved every minute and I know my guests had a great time. I will definitely be returning! Thank you Julia and Emil for making this a wonderful and memorable experience!
