Although this isn't an actual authentic medieval castle. It was built in 20th century, but with very thorough thinking about styling and details. The story of the owner is also interesting and touching. So go take an audio guide and enjoy the lovely interiors of a once private house. As a bonus - you can visit professor Xavier school of X-men corridors and some other movies. If you happen to go to the local cafe, choose a place in the center of the alcove - they have some nice music playing in there.

What a great and sad story Casa Loma is for Toronto. Just great that Toronto decided to share the story with the world. Great part of history here. Many firsts thanks to the man who built this. Really liked the audio guide that was included and offered in several languages. It was better than I had expected, so that was great for me, because I'm generally not a fan of museum type outings. This was different because I could get a real sense of living there. If you haven't been, just go. Life is short.

It is a strikingly beautiful place and even more so when decorated for the Christmas season. The aerial and skating shows were a nice touch - especially nice to watch the children watching in awe. The Santa workshop walk was also wonderfully done! My only caution would be around the circular stairs to the towers - a staff member should be positioned at the top and bottom to monitor movement - for convenience but more importantly, for safety.

A piece of Canada history. If you like history (specially war history), architecture, and castles this is a place for you. They even have an old carriage (good condition) and OLD cars. You can enter, walk an underground tunnel, see different rooms, bathrooms, a stable and even a room prepare specially for the queen of England! You can learn interesting facts about the original owners and the way of life from more than a century ago. I was there half day and wished I could stay more.

Beautiful historical home. The decorations for Christmas definitely made it a much more enjoyable experience. It was nice to see so much of the castle and not have a lot of closed off areas. The access to go all the way up in the towers was awesome and there is a beautiful view from the top of the Norman Tower. The tunnel to the stables was awesome and again the holiday decorations were top notch. I would definitely recommend!!

I recently had the pleasure of providing elegant lounge furniture and other accents from my rental collection for a wedding at the beautiful Casa Loma. What a lovely choice for such a special day with gardens that are stunning, well manicured and cared for. Great attention to detail and wonderful service was evident in their event planning department.
I highly recommend Casa Loma and their team as a location for your special event.
