Discovering the "Boardroom" at Toronto's Design Exchange as a space for my training workshops was a stroke of luck. The room is filled with natural light and views that connect us with the outside world. One end is set up for our more formal, large group discussions. At the other end, a comfortable lounge atmosphere creates opportunities for relaxed, small group discussions where the real work takes place. Add generous wall space for flip charts and lots of room to move around. As a bonus, DX staff take care of logistics, from signage and greeting participants to snacks and beverages, leaving us free to focus on what's important. It's my favourite training space, anywhere.
Cool old TSX trading floor. They did a good job of it. Not ideal for multiple conferences on the top floor as their main wall divider is a curtain so sound from the other conference definitely interferes with others.
Inside this is a nice conference venue and space for events. However, the signage outside makes it super difficult to find.
A small exhibit housed in an extraordinary Art Deco masterpiece of a building. The venue space is the former Toronto Stock Exchange trading floor.
