So much goes on here! Clean. Concession stand always has some great Japanese snacks. Been here for the summer festival and the Japanese film festival.

As the Toronto centre for the international Self-Realization Fellowship organization we periodically host guest speakers from our Los Angeles headquarters over a very busy weekend from Friday to Sunday evening. For some events we accommodate up to 400 people and depend on reliable audio visual equipment for presentations. In April we used the JCCC and found that they had all the meeting facilities we required. Our audio/visual technicians found the JCCC technical staff and equipment to be suitable for our needs. Haruko and the event planning staff, Constantin and the technicians were all extremely professional in helping us prepare for the event, in setting up the facilities as agreed, and in being there during the event to ensure all went well. We are thoroughly pleased with our experience at the JCCC and intend to use it in the future.
For many years we have held our Yamaha Music School year-end concerts at the JCCC. The facility is a great place to hold this type of event and we always have a great time there. The hall itself accommodates the needs of our audience and the crew always do their best to meet our needs and make us feel comfortable. They are a pleasure to work with and we get many positive comments from our families.

We ran mental health training workshops at the JCCC for about 10 years until retiring just last year. We had used several other venues in Toronto over the years but always had one difficulty or another with them. JCCC seemed to fit our needs really well. We generally had between 250 and 350 attendees for two days and the facility could handle it very well. With a group that size, we felt like we had control over much of the building so our guests felt well looked after. The contemporary decor, lots of natural light, and Japanese design aesthetic gave our attendees a feeling of a retreat as much as a meeting. Constantine in the tech booth is really good, attentive, and always available to handle any problems and come up with instant solutions. Haruko and her team look after all the details very well, even having staff out in the parking lot to help direct traffic on the busy mornings.
The non-profit organizations I have worked with have been renting event space at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC) for the past three years. We first decided to hold a large-scale educational health care event at JCCC because the space was both functional and welcoming with lovely decor. We continued to hold our events there because the space was perfect for a large group, with smaller rooms for breakout sessions, and the staff was helpful, reliable and responsive and quickly felt like a part of our team. The preferred caterer is also great to work with, accommodating and had a great selection that met all of our needs. I would absolutely recommend JCCC to a colleague and in fact we are returning for our fourth event this fall.
