We got married at the Rosewater Room this past September and it was absolutely perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better venue. Barbara was our coordinator and she was awesome. She was super organized, very accommodating, and she met all of our (many) demands. It was so convenient to have the cocktail hour next door at Don Alfonso during the change-over from the ceremony to reception in the main room. The two venues are actually connected so the guests do not have to go outside. Both spaces are gorgeous on their own, so you don't need to spend much for decor. We are still getting compliments on how beautiful and elegant our wedding was. The food was delicious too. This is honestly the best venue we could have asked for.
My cousin had their wedding there. Amazing place, amazing staff, and their food is great!!!
The Rosewater Room was lovely before, but its recent renovations (within the past year) have transformed it into a gorgeous gem right in the heart of Toronto's financial district. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful, and the food that is available for events is delicious and spans a wide array of options. For those of you looking for wedding venues, the Rosewater is a fine choice, and even has its own unique little patio and bridal room.
Wedding review: Everyone continues to comment on how beautiful this venue was and we also had a ton of compliments on the food. You could not beat the venue for the price, especially with it being NYE (no joke, $105 pp) and the seamless flip between ceremony and reception was amazing. Location is the best too: right smack downtown. We had about 3 coordinators over 1 year (turnover) and Sam did do a good job in the end. She really tried to be accommodating. However, the service, unfortunately, knocks them down a point for the following: - Not sure what happened during cocktail hour on the 1st floor, but it seemed as though the heat wasnt on because guests were wearing winter coats and coming upstairs to where the fire was. One guest said the thermostat downstairs read around 60F. - It was quite clear that one waiter was really not happy to be there and was quite rude to several guests (snapped at me at one point). - Discovered no shot policy when we got there but that wasn't in our contract or disclosed to us- There were also some communication issues between the coordinator and servers, which included some guests being refused bar service (not because of a smart serve issue but a mixup of who was on the not drinking list my 39 year old friend got IDd!) and in such a way that their whole tables could hear because they were shouting instead of pulling them aside (or us!) to clarify.- To end on a positive, I would definitely recommend Rosewater and, to iron out kinks, maybe suggest that future couples get a wedding planner with this venue.
We had our wedding in Rosewater Room and to summarize the whole experience in one word, I'd say it was FANTASTIC!!! Graylin and all the staff at RWR made sure we had the most incredible day of our lives. Prior to the wedding Graylin went through all the details (we had no wedding planner), answering all our questions (plenty of them) and making sure the day ran smoothly. The room decoration was lovely, we had a private room with drinks and appetizers (delicious!); guests loved, loved the food and the wine selection was great. The bar had all drinks you could think off and the waiters and waitresses were very kind and professional. Thank you!
