The Broadview Hotel is such a great place!!!! Where do I even begin... I work as a Wedding Designer and Coordinator for ByFrancescaxoWeddings. I've been in the building twice for work. First time was for a wedding for a bride and groom and second was a Bridal Show where we were invited to be preferred vendor for. Both times I came into the building the Staff, Managers, Front Desk workers, Restaurant staff , Event and Coordinators in the building were superb to the highest level, they're all so respectful there and have great work ethic and standards. All the Event Managers or Vendor Managers were amazing there! They help you with everything and are there to get things done for you, I got to know some of them the second time I came to the Bridal Show and it was like seeing friends again!!! The Broad view hotel itself inside and out is beautiful even down to the door handles. I've been in a few rooms to deliver wedding items and its stunning!!!! And the rooftop areas are immaculate! I love coming to the Broadview Hotel and cant wait to come back.
Really nice rooftop patio even in the winter! You get a great panoramic view of the city due to the low rises in Leslieville. Perfect spot to see the sunset and enjoy some drinks!
Dont waste your money if youre looking for service or a restful stay. We visited the rooftop bar in the afternoon and had a server snap at us as she was overwhelmed. The service in the bar and bistro at night was actually worse. They completely ignored us for the first 15 minutes, then said the kitchen was closed, then proceeded to serve a woman food next to us a half hour later. They suggested we tried somewhere else, then left us sitting there waiting for 20 minutes for the bill. The music from the rooftop bar pounded on until the wee hours. We called the front desk to ask when the bar closed, they were very rude then hung up on us. Called back and they offered to deliver a noise machine to block out the dance music. Maybe not put people in the room right below the bar? or at least warn of the awful pounding dance music not even the TV can drown out.
Two different restaurants: the civic on the main floor and the rooftop. Brunch on the main floor is nice, and has the option of bottomless mimosas. Food takes a little longer to arrive, but worth the wait. From the rooftop you have the opportunity to get a great view of the city and enjoy tapas food and drinks. No coffee or tea is available on the rooftop is the only limitation.
We had reservations for two and it was our first fancy date. The host recognized the situation right away and sat us at a great location. The atmosphere was great. The food was terrific and the server gave us free extra wine. Instead of giving us the desert menu, he instead gave us 3 deserts available on the menu and didn't charge! Wing man extraordinaire!
