With my experience this place just doesn't feel like it's worth the money that they ask. I had 2 Valentine's Day dinners, didn't order any drinks and it cost $180 after tax. The food was okay chicken was really good, not too fancy at all though. In my opinion it's not worth going for just the view. My waitress Rachel was very nice though and always made sure we were well taken care of. This place just needs to either raise their food quality to be worth what is to be paid or just lower their prices, any of which I believe would make this an incredible place to dine.
I dont review often, but I absolutely had to take a moment to give this place the review it deserves! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. From my recent Toula experience, the food was absolutely delicious. The service all-round was extremely prompt and consistently attentive to our needs. The salmon course was excellent! (I recommend it for whomever is considering a visit) Service 5/5. Ambiance 5/5.
I have never had a better experience at a restaurant than I dod at Toula! The minute you get off the elevators, the hostesses go above and beyond to make sure youre comfortable at your table, and the service is unbeatable. The servers are attentive and go out of their way to make sure everything is exactly right. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. I wish I could give more than 5 stars because they truly deserve it. The ambiance is perfect for a small group or even a large party. And obviously the view cant be beat. 10/10 would recommend you go to Toula.
We went to Toula during the Summerlicious promotion. We thought that it would be very busy but it wasn't. The most spectacular thing about Toula is the view it has. The view of the city and the view of Toronto Island are just magnificent. If for no other reason you decide to go to Toula than the view, it will be worthwhile. The food was delicious. Everything was fresh and had clearly been made with special attention go detail. My only ask would be about the staff as I didn't feel that we had a 'dedicated' server for our table. It made me feel like the tip would not be given to anyone specific.
Went to the New Year's Eve gala, very disappointed, not organized at all. When I came at 10, they haven't cleared the area for dinner people, and ask me to go down to the lobby to wait. There is a photo booth, but it wasn't ready till 10:30 and it is right in front of high traffic area in front of the DJ. I mean seriously you should know this area will be flood with people how do you expect people to fall in line. Plus I have to pay to get photo printed with the ticket I pay to get in the gala should I at least get free photo? The coat checking room was a mess the longest waiting time is to wait in line coat checking and when I leave waiting for people to find my coat. With 4 people in front of me I have to wait for 20 minutes to my turn. . This is also not the first year they host this gala, if I am not wrong this is the 9 the year. They should learn my now at new years Eve gala people need to check coat, since this is Toronto winter time. The ticket says food provided at 12:15 after count down but it didn't come out until 12:40 and all I get is a chicken breast on a stick.Overall, I'd recommend anyone interested in the new years gala give it a second thought before buying a ticket.
